Charlotte SMS Terms

These terms govern the Charlotte SMS and MMS messaging program, operated by Vajra Solutions LLC ("Vajra", "we", "us"). Charlotte is an AI phone assistant that sends service-related text messages on behalf of the local home-services business you called.

Your consent

When you call a business that uses Charlotte and agree on the call to receive texts, you consent to receive service messages from Charlotte at the mobile number you provided. Consent is captured and time-stamped for that call. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of any purchase or service. The messages are recurring as needed to handle your request.

What you'll receive

Service messages tied to your request only — appointment and callback confirmations, technician status and ETA updates, a secure link to a quote or your service history, and the occasional request for a photo of the equipment, plus a confirmation whenever you opt out or resubscribe. No marketing or promotional messages are sent.

Cost and frequency

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies depending on your request and the status of your service.

Opt-out, help, and resume

You are in control of the messages at all times:

  • STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT) — stops all messages. You receive one confirmation: "You've been unsubscribed from Charlotte SMS. Reply START to resubscribe."
  • HELP (or INFO) — returns: "Charlotte notifications. Reply STOP to opt out, or email founder@vajra-solutions.com for help. Msg & data rates may apply."
  • START (or UNSTOP) — resumes messages: "Welcome back. You're now subscribed to Charlotte SMS. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Msg & data rates may apply."
  • HISTORY followed by your mobile number in international format (for example, HISTORY +14155551234) — returns a secure link to your service history. The link expires after 7 days and is only ever sent for your own number, the one you are texting from.

Carriers

Charlotte messaging is supported on major US wireless carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages, and delivery depends on your carrier and device.

Not for emergencies

Text messaging — and the Charlotte assistant generally — is not an emergency service. If you have a life-threatening emergency, call 911.

If you are a Charlotte operator

Businesses that subscribe to Charlotte also receive operational texts from the platform — urgent-call pages, missed-transfer alerts, account and usage notifications, and sign-up links they request. These are optional: an operator opts in by giving us a mobile number and ticking the SMS box on the consent step of signup, or in their Charlotte notification settings. Declining does not affect the service — we use email instead. Message and data rates may apply, and frequency varies with call volume.

Reply STOP to any operator alert to stop them. A STOP from an operator's notification number ends operator texts to that number. Operators can also change or stop these notifications in their Charlotte notification settings or by writing to founder@vajra-solutions.com. To start again after a STOP, write to that address so we can arrange the operator's own re-opt-in — replying START does not restore operator alerts, and a teammate re-adding the number in the notification settings cannot re-enable it either.

Customer opt-outs and operator opt-outs are tracked separately: a customer replying STOP never turns off an operator's urgent-call pages, and an operator's settings never affect its customers' choices. If operator SMS is off — whether it was never turned on or the operator replied STOP — urgent-call alerts fall back to the operator's configured non-SMS notification path, and Charlotte records the attempt either way.

Privacy

Your mobile number and messages are handled as described in the Charlotte Messaging Privacy Notice. In short: we use your number only to send service messages about your request, and we never sell it or share it with third parties or affiliates for marketing.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted on this page with a new date below.
